Hello all,
For this event we are continuing our work cutting low branches and overgrown vegetation from along the trail between Morlatton Village Trailhead and Union Meadows Trailhead. We shifted this event to later in the day so that if someone was not able to make the event during the workday they would be able to attend potentially after work if they wanted to. We have worked hard with a few other events doing the same thing the past few weeks but the work far from over!
We are trying to get the trail corridor back to a minimum 14' in height (higher if possible) and back to 16' wide when possible. Currently, there are trees and bushes that have grown from outside and above the trail corridor and have taken up the empty space the trail provides creating issues for trail users.
Basic tools will be provided but if special equipment is required by a volunteer, it is the responsibility of the volunteer to provide this. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided if needed or wanted. Everyone who intends to participate in the event will be required to fill out waiver required before the day of the event. If you are not able to fill out the waiver online some will be provided the day of the event.
