This event is a continuation of the previous "SRT Through Birdsboro #1" event in the case not all the work was completed. This event is tentative but you are encouraged to sign up if you are available just incase this event is needed. -
The SRT through Birdsboro needs some love and we are looking to get it resurfaced through grant funding, but we need to get the site ready before we can do that.
For this event we will be trimming back vegetation as far back as we can and removing any low branches that might get in the way of vehicles that will be completing the resurfacing work. Volunteers can expect to be using handsaws and loppers for most of the opportunity and or helping SRG staff clean up branches that were cut down. The trail section we are looking to work on is about .8 miles in length so be prepared to be on your feet a good bit.
Basic tools will be provided but if special equipment is required by a volunteer, it is the responsibility of the volunteer to provide this. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided if needed or wanted. Everyone who intends to participate in the event will be required to fill out the waiver required before the day of the event. If you are not able to fill out the waiver online, some will be provided the day of the event.
