Volunteer: On Ride Support for Ride for the River - 32 Mile

Ride for the River is an annual cycling event from Royersford to Betzwood and Fricks Lock, and takes place on the Schuylkill River Trail on Saturday, Sept, 20th. We need volunteers to help ride with the participants and help if there are any bike issues (flats, popped chains, etc.). The volunteers for the ride support will need to register on Bike Reg with a comp code given by a staff member and will need to check in at Royersford Trestle Bridge by 7am.

The week before the Ride, there will be chance for Volunteers to stop by our office (140 College Dr. Pottstown) to pick up materials needed for volunteer tasks and to ask questions. If you are not able to swing by the office the week of the Ride, materials and guidance will be available morning of between 7am -8am.

This road crossing support will be at Old Schuylkill Road, close to the Parkerford Trailhead in Spring City. Parking is available at the Psrkerford Trailhead and walking or biking to the road crossing is recommended.

Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at 2pm, there will be an information Zoom Webinar to learn about the changes to this years Ride and the New Route and we are inviting all volunteers to attend! Email events@schuylkillriver.org if you would like to attend. 

The week before the Ride, there will be chance for Volunteers to stop by our office (140 College Dr. Pottstown) on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 4-6pm to pick up materials needed for volunteer tasks and to ask questions. If you are not able to swing by the office the week of the Ride, materials and guidance will be available morning of.

Ride for the River is an annual cycling event that begins in Royersford at the Trestle Bridge and takes place on Saturday, Sept. 20 2025 at Royersford Trestle Bridge (155 Railroad Plaza, Royersford).

Volunteers will cheer on Riders as they finish their Ride and direct them to the fun celebration!
