Celebrate Opening Trails Day with a Schuylkill River Trail cleanup at Fork & Ale on Sunday, April 25, from 2 - 4 p.m. Fork & Ale is a Schuylkill River Trail adopt-a-trail member and the cleanup will be on this specific section of the trail in Union Township, Berks County. Volunteers will be divided into two groups. Cleanup efforts will include pruning overgrowth, picking up litter, and raking, as well as connecting with nature and others.
Trail work tools and work gloves will be provided by Schuylkill River Greenways but you are welcome to bring your own.
Due to COVID pandemic restrictions, volunteers will be unable to gather as group for a meal after the cleanup. But each volunteer will receive a voucher they can use at the Fork & Ale restaurant.
