Description

Ride for the River is an annual cycling event from Pottstown to Reading, and takes place on the Schuylkill River Trail on Saturday (Sept. 28, 2024). We need volunteers to help at the rest stop at the turn around for the 34-mile ride at Berks Nature in Berks County. Volunteers will check in at Berks Nature.

Volunteers will help setup food, water, and other supplies for the Riders at Berks Nature rest stop area. Then help cyclists by providing snacks and beverages as needed.

Volunteers receive free Ride for the River T-shirt as well as a food and beer/beverage ticket to use at the Can Jam Music Festival at Sly Fox (Pottstown) the day of the event. Please list your T-shirt size in the "Response Questions" section after you click the sign up button for this opportunity.

The week before the Ride, there will be chance for Volunteers to stop by our office (140 College Dr. Pottstown) to pick up materials needed for volunteer tasks and to ask questions. If you are not able to swing by the office the week of the Ride, materials and guidance will be available morning of.
