Hello all,
For this event we will be working on the Hamburg Bridge in partnership with the Kutztown Rotary Club who was gracious enough to supply SRG with a grant to complete the work and donated the match for the materials that will be used to refurbish the accessible ramp to the top of the bridge.
The ramp is made of treated wood and has sat for several years collecting mildew and moss. SRG has pressure washed the ramp to remove the grime, but we still need to seal the bridge to protect it for years to come, put on a no slip paint coating to protect users from slippery conditions, and finally replace some boards that have warped or have been worn down over time.
Basic tools will be provided but if special equipment is required by a volunteer, it is the responsibility of the volunteer to provide this. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided if needed or wanted. Everyone who intends to participate in the event will be required to fill out waiver required before the day of the event. If you are not able to fill out the waiver online some will be provided the day of the event.
