Hello all,
The weather has been crazy, and we are doing our best to keep up! Between cleaning up the fallen trees and trying to find time to simply mow the edges of the trail we have not been able to properly trim much of the vegetation that is growing up and over our mower blades. This makes the trail thinner and the trail experience not as enjoyable for all trail users.
For this event we will be trimming back the vegetation that we have not been able to get to. We will use a combination of hedge trimmer, loppers and hand saws. The goal is to cut back the plant matter far enough so that we will not have to trim the plants again this year...hopefully...
Volunteers should also not expect to complete any tree work or removal.
Basic tools will be provided but if special equipment is required by a volunteer, it is the responsibility of the volunteer to provide this. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided if needed or wanted. Everyone who intends to participate in the event will be required to fill out the waiver required before the day of the event. If you are not able to fill out the waiver online, some will be provided the day of the event.
